Topcon launched Aptix™ Integration Platform, an integration platform as-a-service (iPaaS) that helps streamline the management of large civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Aptix presents itself as a “service orchestrator” aimed at providing customers in the construction world with a single integrated management tool. Aptix allows professionals to upload preventive project plans including the related implementation times and compare them with the real data acquired in progress, and it is precisely on this aspect of acquisition of real and objective data that integration comes into play Aptix of our Blend+ online portal.
Aptix was born as a modular system and therefore potentially open to the integration of other third-party functional modules, but in reality, especially for the telemetry data acquisition part, Aptix is currently only integrated with Blend+.
Tierra is configured as a central point of data ingestion
for the telematic information that Aptix needs.
The Blend+ custom APIs are used between the parts to allow the exchange of positions and technical work data, therefore, potentially, all the functional data of the machine (hours of work, fuel consumed, etc.). The technical data acquired are the basis of the comparison between what was estimated in the project phase and what was actually carried out in the field with consequent economic comparisons.

The tools available today for smart jobsites are many, but often incomplete and fragmented. Aptix presents itself as an innovative and integrated tool: the ability to incorporate and compare project documentation with field data undoubtedly represents its main strong point.
A solution of this type allows Aptix to always use the same APIs provided by Tierra without having to implement each API of each provider to obtain the data (JD, CAT, JCB, KOMATSU). We take care of taking the data and making it available to them.
